If the Wig Fits, Wear It…
With Confidence
It is important to choose a wig that complements your complexion and lifestyle. Work with a wig consultant to find the right style and colour for you, and also to ensure a proper fit.
A proper fit is very important, not just for how your wig looks but also for how it feels. A poorly fitting wig may cause skin irritation, headaches and visible marks.
The Canadian Cancer Society, Yellow Pages, Oncology Clinic or your health care provider will have a list of wig shops in your area. Call ahead for an appointment, comparison shop and be sure to ask questions. On the day of your appointment, bring a recent photo of yourself and ask a family member or friend to go with you to help choose your wig. They can provide support and a valuable second opinion. Take your time and try on a few different styles until you find exactly what’s right for you. Remember, all sales are final.

INSPIRING STORIES
|
“Two friends came wig shopping with me. It was hard to see myself with so little hair. But it was also a lot of fun experimenting and seeing what I looked like as a redhead and a brunette.”
Linda Foggazzi, Cancer Survivor, Toronto

PROFESSIONAL TIP
|
“For the best fit, you should have no more than a ¼ inch of hair underneath your wig so there will be no slippage.”
